The exhibition "Through Line" showcases the work of three distinguished artists—Yoshiaki Komatsu, David Barthold, and Mary Jaeger—who have each drawn deep inspiration from Japanese aesthetics and traditional techniques. This exhibition highlights the recipients of the 6th Annual Art Exhibition (AAE) Awards held at the end of last year.

The title "Through Line" symbolizes a continuous thread connecting the distinct artistic approaches of the three artists, unified by their exploration of Japan’s rich aesthetic sensibilities and craftsmanship. Each artist uniquely reinterprets traditional elements, techniques, and philosophies, creating contemporary visual languages across diverse mediums such as sculpture, and textile art.

The exhibition offers profound insights into how traditional Japanese aesthetics and craftsmanship continue to influence modern artistic practices, allowing viewers to engage with both historical significance and contemporary innovation.
