Following his award recognition at the J-Collabo 6th Annual Exhibition in 2024, renowned paper cutting artist Hyakkimaru will present a mini solo exhibition at the café gallery space of Brooklyn Beauty/Fashion Labo, scheduled to run from June 6 to 30, 2025.

 

Known for his dynamic and expressive cut paper artworks that evoke the spirit and tragedy of the samurai, Hyakkimaru’s work captures the raw tension and poetic beauty of human existence—what he calls “living by betting death.”

 

This upcoming exhibition offers visitors a rare opportunity to witness the mastery of an artist with over 40 years of experience and more than 10,000 works to his name. Through bold compositions and life-like silhouettes, Hyakkimaru’s paper cuttings bring history to life with gripping presence and emotional depth.
