Born and raised in New York, Candace Browne is a New York New City Artist.She studied at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, The Cooper Union School of Art in New York City’s East Village, and The Art Students League on New York City’s Upper West Side.
Her paintings explore the boundaries of shape making – expressing beauty and humor.

In addition to being an artist, Candace has worked at various galleries, as well as The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Having diverse expertise in American Folk Art, Native American art, African Art and Original Prints.
Her work has been shown at numerous New York City Galleries, Galleries in East Hampton and South Hampton, NY, several Universities and The Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
Many of Candace’s paintings are in the collections of private collectors and Universities. She currently paints at her studio on the upper West Side of Manhattan.
